    thats why when using lipo cells, carry a fire extinguisher with you...

    you can see that happen a lot at the RC car tracks... that's why they require anyone using lipo's on the track to charge them in a fire proof bag...

    from the video that liveforphysics showed here, it looks like the headway cells are the safest in regards to flaming up...

    Yes, thats why I won't use them on my bike. Every season I see at least a dozen Lipo fires at my RC flying field. That and the fact that they puff for no apparent reason. Except for Maxamp packs....I have 3 Maxamp packs that are over 5 years old! Never puffed, still going stong.

    On Visforvoltage.org, there is an electric scooter with LIFE (LIFEPO4) that burned while sitting still.
