93 GSX-R conversion

I wanted to post a link to my recently finished project. Donor is a 1993 Suzuki GSX-R 1100.

My intention was to turn heads and change people's concept of electric motorcycles. I've been inspired by old school rat rods, cafes, and street fighters that strip down and show off what's underneath.

So far my plan has worked. I've been riding it around town and can say it definitely gets attention - in a good way - from traditional bikers, EV geeks, and folks that don't know a thing about either.

Thanks for the support. I've learned a lot reading threads on here and other EV forums. This is a GREAT community.

We just got some snow, so no riding for a while - but I'll try and get some better videos when the roads clear up.

I just missed a bike show in Denver last weekend, but I'm seriously considering entering it next time around. Not sure what attitudes will be like, but if I can stir things up and get people talking, I'll be happy.

Thanks for posting up the great info about your bike. I just happen to have a 1996 GSXR 750 sitting in my garage due in large part to you and another elmoto member. Looks like at the moment that will be electric bike #3. Hope to have bike 1 finished in the next couple months then couple more after that for #2.

Very nice build. Well thought out.

Interesting results/observation on the gear ratio. Right now I am at 4.1:1 and found it running 70 mph easily.

Cool! The 96 has a different frame design, perimeter instead of double cradle. The 93-95 double cradle seems easier to design around, but I've seen plenty of perimeter frames converted....including this.

I wish I had #2 and 3 lined up right now...
